Our company was entrusted by a customer to help handle a commodity whose tariff code was questioned by customs.
Product name is "Turntable Upper Guide Rail Installation Component", which is an assembly composed of upper guide rail mounting ring, support rod, bearing, and spring. During inspection, on-site customs, taking the bearing as the main feature, required the enterprise to declare under the bearing tariff code.
After further confirming with the enterprise about the specific structural composition, functional principle, and purpose of the product, we sent staff to accompany the customer to Shanghai Customs Office to provide more specific explanations on-site regarding the product's structure and working principle. Through internal deliberation by the Customs Tariff Code Center, our opinion was ultimately adopted.
